The AMVM thanks everyone---volunteers, exhibitors, members, and friends ---who helped to make the June 14th Open House at Ridgewood Farm a memorable day of fun and fellowship.

The AMVM will have three books on loan to the Reading Public Museum for its exhibit on "Offspring of the Winds--The Horse in Art and Imagination."

Offspring of the Winds - The Horse in Art and Imagination

July 12 through September 7,  at the Reading Public Museum, Reading, PA.
- Experience the drama and romance of one of the world's most beloved animals. This exhibition features the horse as it has appeared in diverse cultures over the past 3,000 years. With works drawn primarily from the Museum’s permanent collections and enhanced by regional and local collections, you’ll experience the beauty, strength and vitality that the horse has inspired in the work of artists and craftsmen throughout history. Pieces on loan from the American Museum of Veterinary Medicine include R. Baret, Trait des Chevaux, 1660, book;  George Stubbs, The Anatomy of the Horse, 1766, oversize book; and George Stubbs, The Anatomy of the Horse, 1965, oversize book.
